NCIS and its New Orleans and LA spin-offs, Young Sheldon and more returning as normal this autumn

CBS has announced its autumn schedule and despite the coronavirus pandemic, it’s looking to go ahead as normal with its planned programming.

In contrast, Fox announced a more streamlined schedule of programming earlier this month and The CW pushed the start of its season to January.

While no exact dates have been given, NCIS is set to return on Tuesdays while NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans are scheduled for Saturdays.

Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon will air on Thursday nights, leading into new comedy B Positive, from Two and a Half Men’s Chuck Lorre.

CBS Entertainment boss Kelly Kahl said in a statement: “We’re excited to come off another season as America’s Most Watched Network and, despite the obvious challenges around us, put together another winning lineup.

“Next season, we’ll have five breakout returning freshman series and three compelling new shows placed into a schedule with the incredible stability for which CBS is so well known.

“Couple that with our broadcast of Super Bowl LV next February, and CBS is simply loaded with a line-up that will clearly appeal to both our advertising partners and our loyal viewers.”
